A little about Edith Hughes-Hill:
Edith Hughes-Hill, Ms. Edie to family and friends, is a Philadelphia native who at an early age committed her life to serving her savior through missionary work. She was nurtured to be a foreign missionary but was sidetracked by marriage and family obligations. However, her status did not hinder her devotion to caring for the needs of the misfortunate. She has received awards for outstanding work at her place of employment. Recognition at church acknowledging her sacrifice for the needs of others, Big Sister of the Year Award from Big Sister and Big Brothers Association as well as being a recipient of the Chapel of The Four Chaplains Community Service Award. Ms. Edie has been a business owner and served as Executive Administrator for a non-profit youth organization for over 25 years. Ms. Edie uses proceeds from the sale of her novels to lessen the burden of her less fortunate sister and brothers of the world.

What made you want to
write inspirational novels?
From my personal life experiences I recognize the need for a
positive uplifting, yet enjoyable message. Books are truly the mirrors
to the world and an escape from the negative. I wanted to write stories
that would allow the reader to get lost in the story and temporarily forget
anything in their life displeasing.
What do you enjoy doing most when you aren't writing?
When I am not writing, I enjoy cooking, gardening or
performing various missionary
tasks.
Since you are an inspirational writer, who or what inspires you?
Life inspires me. People inspire me and the many blessings I have
received inspires me to tell of the goodness of the Lord.
Which book did you enjoy writing most?
I consider this to be an unfair question, as each
of my novels are like my own birthed children, which I labored
diligently over. Wings Can Be Mended is the novel I lean more towards
because I see my literary growth in it.
What would you suggest to aspiring authors chasing after their dream?
I would tell an inspiring author to go for it and enjoy each word. Avoid seeking out friends and family to critique your novel. Your request puts them in an uncomfortable position, as they tend to walk lightly in fear of damaging your fragile feelings. I adamantly say: Learn the Computer. Learn the Computer.
